When we are exhausted, how do we find rejuvenation in a world that spins on warp speed and multitasking?

When our minds are whirling and cluttered, how is it possible to recapture a sense of tranquility?

When hearts are bruised and busted from watching all that is going on in the world around us, how do heal our constant grief?

And when our souls are weary and worn, where do we regain rest?

The world tells us that we can find rest for our bodies in slowing down and in sleeping. That we can slow our minds down by engaging in quiet distractions or being in nature. Or hearts can be mended in companionship and activities that bring us joy.

And while these practical, earthly things will definitely contribute to our healing and transformation, the most profound healing can only be found in a relationship with God.

He invites us into a personal relationship that has the power to provide the ultimate healing and rest. Especially for our weary souls.

Jesus invites us to, “Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

He is the living water and bread that provides the only lasting sustenance and nourishment for our hungry and parched souls.

For when we accept Jesus’ divine invitation, “Come to me, and find rest”, we will be filled. We will once again flourish. And find a contentment and an everlasting peace.
